In the SPARQ testing, there were solid scores again by a number of these athletes. Krystalani Yockman from Lakes high school in Tacoma scored real well in the 20 yd dash with a time of 2.92 sec, adding to that with a hefty Powerball toss of 37 feet.- Elda Nalani Yockman

Chris thanks for the email. Very cool picture sequence of Hannah. The lessons have helped her a lot. She’s on the CKHS team. She has a lot more confidence at the plate. I brought Andrew in last night. I coach his baseball team (9 and 10 year olds). I talked to Chuck about baseball instruction. I also asked him if the facility would be available next Tuesday from 5:15pm to 6:45pm. I wanted to have my first practice there. I wanted to let them know that hitting will be our biggest focus this season. It looks like rain so I though this would be a great place for my introduction to the new season. The nice thing is that 11 other families would get to experience the facility. I’d like to do this two or three times if it works out.
Andrew is a great pitcher and fielder. He has been lacking confidence and dreading the hitting aspect of the game. That all changed last night. His quote when we got home, “Coach Chuck is a genious”. He made a few key adjustments and Andrew was hitting the ball well.

I just wanted to say thank you to you and the guys for the great work you’ve done teaching Mackenzie. You have literally transformed her ability to hit in such a short time its scary. She is having a great time every lesson and is learning so much its just awesome to see. Your positive coaching style is making a huge impact in her confidence, and as a parent I greatly appreciate your effort and kindness. Its unbelievable to watch her, after only 6 lessons, hit SO hard, swing SO aggressive, and hit in every direction you ask her. Not to mention the adjustments you’ve taught her how to do and the situational hitting and bunting. I could go on & on!!! I can’t help but laugh every time I see her in the Swing Away USA cage doing so well, and having so much fun! You guys are the best kept baseball/fastpitch secret in not only Kitsap but all of Washington!
